Wilderness Medicine
Course Information
These courses are for those who live, work, and play in Wilderness and Austere Environment. The courses prepare students to provide high level medical care when Advanced Medical Care is delayed.
Prerequisites
Be at least 16 years of age on or before the last scheduled session of the course
There are two options for this course, one for students who already have a CPR certification and one for students without.
Course Options

BWFA (Basic Wilderness First Aid)

8 hour hands on course, this is the only course approved for students under the age of 16.

WFA (Wilderness First Aid)

16 hour course. 8 hours classroom, 8 hours scenario

WFR (Wilderness First Responder)

80+ Hour course

Minimum requirement for most outdoor industry jobs.

WEMT (Wilderness EMT)
-
80+ hour upgrade for currently certified EMT/Paramedics
